We’ve had the pleasure of introducing hundreds of recruits to the strenuous yet satisfying world of back-to-basics cardiovascular and strength training. Read their stories below.
First and foremost, I had set a goal of winning medals at the World Club Crew Championships in Macau in August 2010. As of December 2009, I wasn’t in a physical place to achieve that goal. With the instruction, dedication and support of Sharon and Kyle, I was not only able to participate; I was stronger due to the sport specific training provided to me at IronKore. They literally helped make my dream come true. Thank you to all of the IronKore team!

I appreciate being treated like a person in need of making informed decisions rather than a walking dollar sign. I’ve spent many years at other gyms, both in group classes and on my own, wondering if I am doing the exercises “right”. At IronKore there is no question; the trainers work to make sure everyone is doing the exercises correctly. Much time is spent on proper form to ensure you get the most out of an exercise. I have been doing personal training for two months. I notice a huge difference in my strength and abilities when I carry groceries pick up my kids and move through other daily activities. My core is much stronger, allowing me to easily handle my son jumping on my back without warning or deciding to initiate a play fight with a sneak punch to the gut. By instinct and reflex, my core tightens.

IronKore is a great gym. I have worked out at a lot of different gyms and from my experience, IronKore has the best training programs. Once I joined IronKore, I received a lot more than I expected. Not only do Kettlebells improve the tone of my lower body, my overall strength has increased and my range of motion in my shoulders also has increased. I attribute this change to the approach taken by the IronKore trainers. What I appreciate about the trainers is their attention to detail regarding body mechanics. I know that my alignment is being monitored by them as I exercise so I am safe as I become stronger in my workouts.

I love the fact I can be in classes with people at different levels of training. I hated the “big box gyms beginner classes” which never seemed to have any real beginners. I wanted a class where I could learn and not get lost in the crowd of those who already knew what they were doing. I was quite surprised to see how well the mixed classes work at IronKore. We are all working on something similar, but with a different weight or number of reps. The secret is the individualized attention, small class size and number of instructors.I love the professionalism and the fact I get to train with people who have a love of athleticism and fitness, and years of experience. I know I am training with people who love what they do – it really shows. It is not all about weight loss at this gym. Certainly there are clients who have fat loss as a goal, but they learn to do it the healthy way and discover that they might just gain muscle weight with practical nutrition while they lose inches. You will learn to measure any fat loss goals in inches not pounds.

This gym is in my neighborhood and when I asked for information the staff was very enthusiastic and helpful. What I really enjoy is the intimate contact with the trainers and the encouragement I receive. I enjoy the workouts and it is a great feeling that you are getting stronger and stronger every week. I feel much stronger in my core and overall, just more powerful. The other people in the groups are very friendly and it’s just a really nice place to go and work out with others.

My experience here has been completely different from any other. I find the philosophy and approach completely unique. There is a level of commitment and integrity I have not seen before. Programs are directed to ability level in an effort to progress all equally.

I would say that within a matter of months at IronKore my fitness level, strength and mobility has improved compared to ten years of going to a mainstream health club. My wife and I have been training at IronKore for over a year. The workout itself is a joy- it takes a level of concentration that quickly allows all of one’s daily troubles to fade away and encourages a physical rootedness that is a rarity in most people’s modern day lives. The fact that we’ve both become stronger, thinner and have gained muscle tone is like a perk. The trainers are supportive without being indulgent, so I feel that I am getting the most out of each session. In addition to the physical work itself, IronKore has managed to institute a real feeling of camaraderie among its students. Heading to class is something that we look forward to.

I have been a member at a few other gyms but none that can even come close to this one. The whole team is dedicated to ensuring that your good health is their number one priority and that anyone at any fitness level is welcome and you are made to feel you are the only one that matters. I have had some major health issues over the past few years and after joining IronKore, my doctor has been able to reduce and eliminate many of my medications. When I have given recognition back to my trainers they tell me that it’s not them, it’s me, but I know for a fact that I wouldn’t be where I am today without the amazing support and work that I have received from the trainers at IronKore.
